In communicating its research results, the CSI and its team members not only follow the path of the usual formats of communication and transfer. The Centre also collaborates in innovation formats with other actors in science, policy and practice from the very beginning, linking social research with social innovation impulses for practice.
Such formats of cooperation are e.g. Real-World Laboratories, System Innovation Labs, or Intralabs for the entrepreneurial, strategic development of individual organizations. These formats are also used to develop solutions of social problems or ways of social innovation that are applicable together with those in charge of practice and politics. In addition to such transfer projects, the CSI develops tailor-made education programmes for executives in practice. Such programmes are usually jointly offered with partners in the sector. Partners can be networks or associations but also individual organisations (in-house training).
The CSI does not offer any of its own academic courses but contributes to academic programmes of other institutes, faculties and universities.
